If you need a cost effective and entertaining night organising for you school, club or work event, then a quiz may well be the answer. Organised properly a quiz can be a good method of raising funds or even attracting custom to your establishment. In this section I will give some tips on ways that this can be done,this is not the definitive guide to quiz nights but merely my ideas from my experiences. Every venue and every audience is different and therefore the approach will need adapting to suit the circumstances.

Paper rounds also known as marathon or table rounds are an excellent way to start a quiz night. A good paper round will keep the teams occupied throughout the evening especially between rounds where the hard worked quiz master is trying to mark the answers. There are many different types of paper round and I will attempt to go through some of them here with examples.
